Allow me to introduce myself and state my purpose for this blog. I am the wife of a minister(Nate) and the mother of three children( Nate III, Nadia, and Neyamiah). I love Jesus Christ with all of my heart! I am very passionate about preserving marriage and doing so in a Godly manner. In this blog I want to encourage women in their marriage, that they may honor both God and their husbands.

Submit
Often times as modern women we hear the word submit and cringe! Is this because we feel like we are strong and no one can tell us what to do. Or do we think, he's my husband not my father. No matter what position you hold in the life, there comes a point when you have to come up under someones authority! As wives we must come up under our husbands authority, because he is the head of the household. The problem is that we modern women have gotten away from the ways of God and have conformed to the ways of the world. The bible calls us to be submissive to our own husband. Ephesians 5:22-23 Wives submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord, For the husband is the head of the wife as also Christ is the head of the church and He is the Savior of the body. Therefore, just as the husband is subject to Christ, so let the wives be subject to their own husbands in everything. This is why as wives we ought to lovingly submit as an act of obedience to the Lord who has given this commandment as His will for us, no matter how worthy or spiritual your husband is.
As spirit-filled wives we should recognize that our husband's are given the role of leader that is not only ordained by God but, a direct resemblance of Christ role of authority as the head of the church. Just as Christ leads by keeping us from sin, and hell or husbands like wise protect and provide as we as wives lovingly submit to his authority. In life we are given many roles and as wives we need to play our role and lovingly submit to our husbands. After all Submission is a good thing because it is a God thing!
